A serial entrepreneur and thought leader in digital health and innovation, Ron Gutman has built mobile and online health applications serving hundreds of millions of people worldwide. At Stanford University, Ron organized and led a multidisciplinary group of faculty and graduate students conducting research in personalized health and in the design of ways to help people live healthier, happier lives and which resulted in BeWell@Stanford.

Ron is currently the founder and Chief Executive Officer of HealthTap, the Curator of TEDx Silicon Valley, an Angel investor and adviser to health and technology companies, Rock Health, Stanford’s Medicine X, and Harvard Medical School's SMArt Initiative.

Ron is also the author of TED Book SMILE: The Astonishing Power of a Simple Act, and of numerous articles on the future of mobile and digital health, published in media outlets such as Forbes, Fortune, TechCrunch and more. Ron also presents at health and technology conferences, including TED, Health 2.0, and Fortune Tech Brainstorm and has been featured in the national press about HealthTap and the future of health in the US and globally, including on CNBC (“The Disrupters”), CNN, NBC, The Washington Post (“Innovations”), The New York Times, Forbes, WIRED, Bloomberg and others.
