Jason P Jones, PhD , Vice President of Information Support for Care Transformation, Kaiser Permanente
Jason Jones is a Vice President in Kaiser Permanente’s National Health Plan and Hospital Quality function. In his role, he supports care delivery by improving decision making capability at the organizational and point of care levels. Organizational decision making includes identifying areas of opportunity and how improvements will be measured. For example, should we focus resources to improve care for patients with pneumonia or patients at risk of stroke; do we measure improvement based upon time in the hospital or patient experience? At the point of care, how do we predict what is likely to happen and present relevant information at the right time and to the right person to ensure the best possible outcome? Jason has held several other positions at Kaiser Permanente, including as a research scientist and Executive Director, Clinical Intelligence and Decision Support.
Before joining Kaiser Permanente, Jason worked in Medical Informatics for Intermountain Healthcare in Salt Lake City, Utah. Jason received his PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Southern California in 2001.
